Amanda and Theo were from Ashton's 3rd and final litter. It had been more than two years since our previous litter, as we had endured several failed attempts at much-wanted breedings, so when this litter was born - 4 girls and 4 boys, we were thrilled!

We kept Amanda and Theo and both grew into lovely adults. Amanda, a lovely feminine brown lady, finished her championship easily, getting her final points by taking best of breed over group and BIS winning specials, and on to a group placement. Since then we have shown her occasionally and she has earned other group placements, always owner handled.

Theo earned several points towards his championship but was much slower to mature, and ultimately the show ring was not where he wanted to be so we decided not to continue showing him. He's a sweet goof around the house who, like most of the boys, just wants a hug!

A dramatic example of the colour change that Beardie coats usually go through. Around 1 year of age, Beardies are usually at their lightest stage. Later photos of Theo on this page shows that he did indeed turn brown again!

Just like his mom, Ashton on 'Ashton's page', Theo demonstrates that the hair may grow, but the expression stays the same!

And a few years later the lovely adult look.
