This page shows a selection of the many commissions I have done.
For commissions my preferred medium is acrylic, however I can also work in gouache, watercolour, ink, or oil.
Prices for commissions in acrylic are as follows:
5" x 7" - $100
8" x 10" - $200
11" x 14" - $300
16" x 20" - $500
Oil paintings require considerably more work
and time, though I believe the results are worth it. As a result, prices for
oils are higher than for other mediums. See the painting of Tigger on the Art
Gallery 2 - the Artist's Collection page for an example of my work in
oils.
Prices for commissions in oil are as follows:
5 x 7" - $200
8" x 10" - $325
11" x 14" - $475
16" x 20" - $650
Prices are for paintings with one subject. Additional subjects in the same painting are extra. Especially complicated or specific backgrounds may also be charged extra. Shipping costs are not included in the quoted prices. All pricing details will be discussed and agreed on before a commission is begun.
Sizes smaller than 5" x 7" or larger than 16" x 20" are also available. Please contact me for details and pricing.

In 2003 I was commissioned to do 4 paintings for the Bearded Collie Club of America National Specialty. The paintings represented the 4 aspects of the specialty - conformation, obedience, agility, and herding, and I was given instructions on what was to be included in order for them to be indicative of the area in which the specialty was being held - Asheville, North Carolina. These paintings were then reproduced on to various sizes of wooden boxes, which were given out as trophies. Each painting measures 11" x 14" and was done in acrylics on masonite. |

Conformation Although the specialty was in North Carolina, they wanted to make sure to include a little bit of South Carolina since the club hosting the national was the Carolinas Bearded Collie Club, so I was asked for this painting to include a particular fountain located in Charleston, SC, which is shaped like a pineapple, as well as some azaleas. |

Obedience I was given a reference photo to work from for this painting, featuring an accomplished obedience Beardie sitting on the stone wall overlooking the Blue Ridge Mountains. I added the obedience dumbbell. |

|
Agility For this painting they wanted a beach scene, with the Cape Hatteras lighthouse, and a Beardie or Beardies jumping the snow fencing used to prevent beach erosion. |

Herding North Carolina has a lot of golf courses, so for the herding painting I was asked to have a Beardie herding Canada Geese off a golf course. |
