Tigger - Alaskan Malamute |

| Tigger's arrival in the summer of 1984
signaled a milestone for us - the first time we had ever owned TWO dogs!
She was bought as a pet, and as a companion for our older Malamute who was
4 at the time. Looking back now it's hard to believe what a momentous
thing it was to have two dogs. I guess it's true - once you have two,
what's a few more!
Malamutes are still a breed very dear to my heart, and no doubt they always will be. They are difficult, stubborn, naughty, and not too fond of many other dogs, but they are also an absolutely wonderful breed with a loyal heart and trusting nature. Tigger taught us a lot and we enjoyed the 10 1/2 years we had with her. |

| Tigger was 2 years old when we moved from the suburbs out to the country. The change in her was immediate. A tense, stressed 'suburban' dog became instantly relaxed and happy in the quiet country atmosphere. |
