Zack was from a repeat of our 2001 litter that produced the lovely Danni. They were due on April Fool's Day and I had planned to go with a 'fool' theme for the litter, but when they took their sweet time getting here and weren't born until the 2nd I thought I'd have to come up with a different theme. Then I realized that they had indeed fooled me by the delay, so the theme proved appropriate! With a litter consisting of 6 boys and 1 (mismarked) girl, who can all be seen growing up on our 2002 litter page, I thought for sure I wasn't going to keep a pup, as I didn't need a male from that breeding, but things just sort of worked out differently and Zack stayed. He grew into a lovely boy who unfortunately was put on the 'back burner' show-wise as we had our hands full showing and doing agility with his older sister Danni, as well as tending to several elders who needed special care. He's a big goofy boy, happily greeting all visitors and enjoying life hanging out on the couch!
Sadly we lost Zack very suddenly in Aug 20120, at just 10 years old.

18 months is the typical 'ugly' stage for most Beardies, as Zack demonstrates quite well here as a scraggly naked teenager. It's easy to wonder if they'll EVER grow coat and mature, but as you can see from the pic above, eventually they do. |
